Breathe Hope

Wednesday Worship

Welcome to Wednesday Worship.

If you’re new here come read about:

– the story behind Beloved Prodigal

– our vision and prayer

– the Beloved Prodigal Team

– our weekly posts

Today, let’s gather to worship our King. Let’s thank Him for His Promise that He will never let us go (see John 6: 35 – 40 MSG). Christ Jesus has made us and our beloved Prodigals His own, we are found safely in Him (see Philippians 3: 7 – 14).

Thank You, LORD, that Your Promises are trustworthy and true. LORD breathe Your Hope into us all – into both our Prodigals and us in our own struggles to trust and let go:

 Breathe Hope
By Anna Louise Smit
Oh the joy she here exhales
Each breath she takes
Each jump and splash
The water deep
Her face awash in water’s glow.

She knows His love
Each breath she takes
Each jump and splash
In Word so deep
Her face awash in Holy Spirit glow.

Oh that little girl
Would that she could there return
To let all go, and
Breathe and jump and splash
Aglow with joy.

Disappointments, dreams undone
And heart in pieces broken
To let all go, and
Breathe and jump and splash
Aglow again.

Help her, LORD
Help her to release
That she might learn
To breathe and jump and splash
To glow again.

Hope, I feel You breathe
Your Word in her released
To jump and splash and glow again
Her hands have opened wide
Emptied, for You to fill again.

You teach her here
In disappointments, dreams undone
And heart in pieces broken
To hope again
Wrapped in Love’s own arms, secure.

  1. Dear Anna,
    I love these words:

    “To hope again
Wrapped in Love’s own arms, secure.”

What a beautiful picture your words have painted. Jesus never stops seeing us (and our Prodigals) with our precious child-like hearts. And He so longs to restore our child-like hope and trust in HIM. Thank you for sharing these words of worship and praise today! Hugs and Love!
